Expert Opinions Needed
I was on the freeway doing about 65 when I decided to downshift to 4th gear and do a quick run. This did not last long and I quickly backed off. Then the truoble started. Anyway, about a 1/4 mile later, when I accelerated a bit, I felt a slight vibration. I quickly got off at my exit, and the engine began to sputter blowing blue smoke out of the rear tailpipes. I quickly shut her down. I tried to start her up again and the engine just kept turning over.
I replaced the Opti, plugs and wires about a month ago. She's been running like a gem until this morning.
The last time this happened, it turned out to be the ignition module. That was replaced about a year ago. Could that have shorted out when I punched it on the freeway? It seems unlikely so perhaps some of you can guide me in the right direction. By the way, this is a 94 6sp, if this is of any help. Thanks in advance, Rick
