Chrome Wheels on '87
I have a '87 vert with the stock wheels. I would like to go to a ZR-1 wheel,but I just purchased new tires and I believe the ZR wheels are 17". Is there anyone out there who has taken their stock 16" wheel and had it chromed? If you have a picture, I would love to see it. ZR wheels would be my first choice, but I'm not wanting to purchase new tires. Thank you.

I've thought about it too. It's pretty pricey, around $600 a set plus shipping and I'm not sure it'll be that much of an improvement. Early C4 wheels are pretty ugly and although chroming would help it's still not going to look as good as a set of chrome ZR1s or Torq Thrust II wheels. The only reason I don't make the switch is of course money, and the fact that my 16" Kumhos only have 2000 miles on them. I would like to see pics of chromed turbines if anyone has any.

I am waiting on my Chrome Wheels from Corvette Central. I want to keep my 87 looking Stock...meaning I like the OEM style wheels...they needed to be either refirbished or replaced. I chose to chrome them. I think they should look awesome against the Black. I will surely post pics when I mount them.
