OK i have put at least 5 threads on this but I have amde up my mind. Polo green corvette 94 and im going to put 9.5 and 11 zr1 on it 50mm offset. They are the gunmetal O.E. rims i think they will look great. let me know.
Oh sure, make him question his decision so he starts his search all over again.
crap are you serious they do tarnish. I mean once they fade they cant be broughtback or whaat. Cleaning them etc... what do i need thanks. I want the gunmetal cause i think they would look different and still look nice on the polo car. Thanks.
only downfall gunmetal has a tendancy to loose its lust and have a tarnish like form on it. Use some high quality cream on it to keep it in good shape
I dont know what it means to have your wheels "lose its lust" or what kind of cream you are supposed to rub on it to make it better
What I do know is that I have the gunmetal ZR1 replicas from OE wheels in Sarasota, FL and the finish is painted on, and hasn't faded or chipped or anything. I don't know how a painted finish could tarnish. You'll be fine.

This is a pretty STRONG statement from someone in Florida.
I only visit the In-Laws for 10 days a year around Easter, but I do know that the Sun in that region is plain old TREACHEROUS.

I have no idea what people are having their OE Gunmetal wheels tarnish, but mine aren't. ImpalaBalko's aren't either. Take a look at the wheels thread with 50 some odd posts; my pics are in there as are Impala's.
Yes, I put on some great wax, and wash the car a lot. But hey! I'm no ImpalaBalko----that guy's washing his car practically in the snow per his pics.
Good luck with the wheels. You'll like 'em and I'd be willing to say, you'll have no problems with them.
I just bought the same exact wheel set up you are interested in. You will not be disappointed when you first see the wheels.
I put them on my black vette and it looks good go for it
