Seat problem HELP!!
My passenger side seat wont move foward or back but it will move up and down. I notice there are three tubes on the bottom of the seat and the middle one which im guessing moves it foward and back does nothing. But the other two tubes shake like mad when I move the seat up and down. Any help would be great. thanks

Little men run through those tubes and then turn the gears that move the seat forward and back, they are obviously drunk since they are pushing the seat up and down instead. At least thats how it was expalined to me. And I thought those were air tubes for the seat lumbar bladder. Oh well, I learn something new everyday.

Had the same happen to me with the exception that when the seat was raised completely then it would would move forward and back. In the lower position no movement at all.
For me it was a new power seat motor and seat transmission. Cost around $600.00 to replace with new parts. Only had to pay $100 (got an extended warranty).

need more detail. can you hear the motor spinning when your try to move it foward and back? if you can't check if the motor is getting power. if the motor is spinning and the seat just isnt moving the gears are probably stripped. I had stripped gears in my camaro's power seat and it cost like $30 from the dealership for them. Others have said that they dont sell the gears for our vettes but i would try any way if thats your problem. $30 beats $300 any day.
