I finally got around to ordering my flame ball :yesnod: , I really think the shifter will look cool especially at night  when that thing lights up. I called and the man who makes em answered the phone. He was really nice and from the way he talked he really takes pride in his work. If you haven't seen the site here is the link www.flameball.com and if you would like to have one just call and they are most helpful. He said that corvette owners are some of his best customers.
If any of you have them installed publish some pics, I picked the FL5-20 which he said was he best seller but I would love to see some of the others installed. I just may get a couple more. The pewters look pretty awesome and those speciality ones are  ...If you install an electrical quick connect then you could change your ball when you mood changes... Pretty darn cool  :seeya
Man that one really is awesome looking!!!! I don't remember seeing that one when I was trying to decide but they got some many colors and combinations its hard to pick out...Like I said I may just order a few more so I can change them out when I feel like it. That one will be on the list...
Mr.Mojo has one on his and from what he told me about his made up my mind to go with the Flame Ball. I too was swaying back and forth between MoMo and Flame Ball. :yesnod:
I was thinking of the FL3-P0-Dark because I have a black car. I think you picked a good one for a red car. I dunno, your talking me into it.
I know this is only 40 bucks but this vette has me spending money left and right. I seem to be particiapting in most of the group purchases; GS Brakes, SLP Intake. I have been replacing various interior trim parts and I still need to get a clutch after this season. I still have ZR1 rims, Corsa catback ( I missed that sale) and a new stereo system in my plans.
Pretty cool. Need a shot of lit up at night. Hard to do, I know.
One thing though. I thought the wire went up through the center of the shaft.
That wire you see is for the line loc.
The Flameball wire is a very thin white wire that I ran up the side of the shifter and is inserted in a hole in the bottom of the ****. When I get my camera back, I will snap some more shots and maybe one day I'll actually hook up the wire so it lights up.
I'm a dummy too, but I think it has something to do with locking the brakes so he can do awesome burnouts  or power brake at the start line drag racing
That is awesome!!! I wonder how one of these would match to the red interior

Hey Hurricane, they have some many different colors I'm sure you can find something there that tickles your fancy. I did for sure www.flameball.com BTW whenever you get tired of that skunk just let me know....Those Grand Sports are awesome looking :yesnod:
A line Loc or Roll Control is a device that locks the front wheels (or rear depending on application) that allows you to do burnouts without destroying your brakes.

Thanks for clearing that up. I have heard of the concept/technique but never knew what it was called. How do the mechanicals work on a line lock? Some sort of hydraulic solenoid/valve I suspect.
