Default Another Collectors Edition Question

What is the going retail price for one now. I've located a 1-owner for $20,445 just a few miles away that I might just go look at. It's an LT-1 A4 and silver with black leather interior. I don't know about the mileage on it yet.

I would say that the mileage and condition would be a very important factor. I paid $23,500 for an LT1 coupe with 32,000 miles last January. I probably paid too much but the car was immaculate.

Paid about the same as 1996Z15 in March for 19,000 miles and GM extended warranty 'till next Feb.

Could probable do a little better now. The market for vettes is getting softer. Toy money is disappearing with the stock market decline.

I just bought a one owner 73,000 mile LT4 CE for 17,000.00. It was not a hangar queen given the mileage, but all the seals and such are in great shape. I spent a weekend pulling the seats and carpet out of the car and cleaning them, cleaning the A/C vents and such - now the car is very clean.

For the 17k I had been looking more at 94-95 cars or maybe a 96 LT1 car. I'd never expected a LT-4, let alone a CE for that type of $$$.

That sounds like a Very Good Deal you got!!! I can't see where you would even question that one. The lowest I have seen an LT4 going for is around 19,000 and it had a little higher mileage than what you bought. These engines should give you 200,000 miles if reasonable care is given to them. :seeya

Sounds like a reasonable price. I stole my 96CE 'Vert 57k mi. for 19,200. From a guy in Marble Falls Tx. it had a few dings but I always wanted a convertible.

I just paid high $20's for an LT4 with 11k miles, both tops, Z51, Bose Gold, etc. I know I paid a premium but I purposely wanted a garage queen and not a daily driver. Your price sounds fairly good but yes, there are many used vettes out there right now, and most with higher mileage.

I bought mine a year ago for $26k with 16k miles on it. Has bronze top, spare tire delete, and LT1 motor. Only has 22K on it now.
