Cleaning Throttle Body??
Can someone please tell me the proper way to clean the throttle body? I would like to clean it without removing it from the engine at this time. Also, what is the best product to use? Thanks for any help.

I do this every couple of weeks or so... Just remove the black accordion intake duct and be careful not to mess with the MAF, it's very delicate. Spray some degreaser (or WD-40 if you don't have any degreaser around) on a clean rag and start to wipe around the inside of the throttle body. Use your other hand to move the butterfly back and forth so that the hand with the rag can clean further inside and around the back of the butterfly. Afterwards, use another clean rag to wipe the residues. This is the quick way to do it. Another way is to use a throttle body cleaner from the auto parts store which works while the engine is running. Just be sure to cover the area around the outside of the throttle body since that stuff will flow out somehow during application. Hope this helps. Good luck.
