If you look at the outside of the distributor cap it has a bump out where two push on wire connectors are.
One wire is Red (could be Pink) and is 12 volts.
The other wire is White and is the Tach. signal coming out of the distributor cap.
Splice a wire to the White wire and use that wire for the signal input to you new Tach. Your Digital Dash Tach. should still function properly.
