I believe the left and right wiper arms and blades have different ride heights. Try swapping the blade assemblies. This is how I fixed mine.

It is also possible that the springs on the arms are sprung. They hold them against the windsheild. No fixing them they need to be replaced(if that is the problem).

I had the same problem when I first got my car. I replaced the blades thinking it was just the wrong size or that brand made them higher but it still happened so I ordered new arms. After comparing the new and old arms I realized the old ones were really bent out of shape causing the problem.

95-96 wiper arms are a different style from the earlier cars but if the blade assembly was replaced, you'll find that lots of the aftermarket blade assemblies are taller than the factory versions.

There is a Tech Tip on early vs. late C4 wiper arms: https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=42&TopicID=2

The last time I replaced my blades they were too tall and hit the hood. So I took the blade assemblies off of the car and removed the rubber part of the blade from the assembly and flattened each arched section a little bit using a precise application of boatguy azz. I reassembled everything and VIOLA blades now park under the hood like they are supposed to. I checked and double checked the PN I bought was supposed to fit a 95/96 Corvette.

C4cruiser is right. I took the ones off the 89 the other day, and they had plenty of room to spare. They were the type that had the two sections that "moved". The replacements the book called for just barely cleared the hood but they clear. Cross referenced a Bosch brand also, same thing.

Bosch blades did not clear on my 95 without a litte flattening.

I got the Bosh blades and found the little hinged lock hit the hood. Took them off and but on ANCO, which do not have the little hinged lock tab on top. The ANCOs just press on and work great.
