I have flowmasters on my 93 6sp vert, and they reverb baddly through the car below 1800 rpms, which means when in six gear and on long distance, that sounds reverbs something fierce through my car... if I had money to throw away, I would buy something quieter...

I put 40's on my 88- Monte Carlo I liked them so much I put them on the vette. When the muff goes on the work van ( 92 GMC-Safari) I'll stick one on that.
I have Flowmaster Super 40s on my '84. I have no cat, but do have an X-pipe. I think they sound great, although I suspect I might get tired of them if this were my daily driver.
I bought my mufflers through Performance Peddler (www.performancepeddler.com). They were great to deal with (they give CF memners a discount) and they shipped very quickly.
I have them on mine (not sure what series, came on the car), and it's loud. The reverb in the car under 2000 RPM will make you go deaf. I don't have any cats on it and 3 inch pipes all the way back, which may make matters worse. I "invested" in sound dampening material from B-Quiet and it's helped. My GF still thinks it's too loud, but it's softened the sound to where it sounds good, if you like that kind of thing.
My '92 has stock mufflers with the resonator under the center of the car replaced with straight pipe. Has a nice rumble when you get after it and nice and quiet on the freeway.
