I live in VA Richmond area is there any tracks or any plce that I can go to test top speed in my car. I know about summer duck and RIR lets you for some crazy amount of money to run the track but you still wont see over 100 or so. Thanks

...there is a stretch of road out past Chesterfield County that is wide open - get some friends to watch the road with radios and you'll be fine

nope - this is a divided hwy - maybe it is on 150??? Anyways, my friend tested his top speed there a few times

Heck, come on down to south Georgia, the 'snowbirds' heading to/from Florida run 100 mph or more on I-75 everyday. And, yes we do appreciate them, their donations keep our local taxes down
Dude, I live in Richmond, and outside of a few blasts down 295( ) I can't think of anyplace like what you're talking about. Route 5? Nope, State Troopers patrol down there. Forget about anyplace in Henrico. Just keep looking for a track if you want to do some high speed driving. There is a race club here in the Commonwealth somewhere, I don't have the link on my laptop, but when I get home tonight I'll post it for you.

Join the NCCC and you can get all the track time you want on a NASCAR track during the National Convention and a few other times during the year. You have to do Low speed events for a while and then get your high speed license.
