well, i managed to leave a door open on my baby in the garage and not notice for a couple days. Coupled with the cold weather the battery was dead when i caught it. :o
It started up easily with a jump but I was wondering if there's anything I should know with the computer. Is everything going to be just the way it was before or did I loose some settings?

You probably lost your radio presets but I don't think anything vital. Afterall, what happens when you change a battery (rhetorical question). But lets hear what some others have to say.

thanks!!
Just for future reference - I read in a corvette mag years ago that its a good idea when jumpering a vette to allow the booster car to run for 3 minutes after you hook up the cables before trying to start the dead battery car - that 3 minute delay allows the current from the booster battery to "wake up" the microprocessors in the vette (you minimize the risk of frying them).
Done it to mine several times and it hasn't damaged the battery and I never noticed any problems with the computer. I think I read somewhere that the computer resets the engine settings or something but it's nothing that I noticed. Only thing I would suggest is to charge it on a charger instead of letting the alternator charge it from dead. That will save your alternator from overworking and possibly damaging it. They get really hot when they charge from dead and some forum members have had them overheat and burn up. Better to be safe then sorry.
