Just purchased some euro headlights off ebay...

Now, I'd like to pick up a 6000K HID conversion kit for both high and low beams. How do I determine which kit I need and are all bulbs standard; will they fit in the lenses?

Yeah I need to get some headlights like those. Mine suck so bad, I cant see more than 100 feet in front of my car, if that. Let me know how well those work.

GS057 did this mod to his Grand Sport a few months back and I've kept the link all this time. Unfortunatley, the HID kit he listed is no longer available...

So I'm asking what HID kit will work with this setup....I think something like this will work but they require a specific bulb with the order

What type of bulbs came with the kit? They look like H3 or H4 style bulbs. If so, then you need a HID kit that uses that style bulb.

A little warning about those conversions guys. I had one of those HID kits for my other car and tried to switch them over to the Vette once I bought it. For some reason the headlight motors would not want to work right. The headlight doors would twitch like they were on drugs (no, I'm not on drugs) when you would turn them on and the lights wouldn't come on. However, in my previous car with motorized headlights, they worked fine. I don't know if it had something to do with the ballasts' high voltage messing with the headlight motors or what, but it didn't work right.

HID kits should have vehicle-specific wiring harnesses so make sure you specify the kit will be for your specific year. The high voltage requirement for the lamp ballast requires a special wiring harness; the factory wiring will not handle the increased current requirements.

The later C4 headlamp motor relay is electronic and is a sealed unit (it's in the left-side forward well where the headlmap bucket fits. It's a black square box attached to the ffront wheelwell panel).
