93 Airbag -- Infl Rest error

93 Airbag -- Infl Rest error
All,
I purchased a theft recovery 93 Vette. The steering column had been "cracked" but the thefts couldn't start it because of the VATS.
So.... This past weekend I replace the entire steering column. It was an extremely easy process (I was supprised). Everything started up perfect and worked perfectly, except now I get a Infl Rest error on my Driver Information Center (The thing above the radio).
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Before I replace the column, I could drive the car (using the VATS Key, and the newly modified key access that the theft made) , there was no Infl Rest errors before the replacement. The new (used) column didn't have a steering wheel or airbag, so I used my old one....
