Decided to try my hand at some leather work, seeing as the glove box was in really bad shape, and didn't like the plain flat bread box replacement, was more shinny than the rest of the dash, so covered them this weekend:

Getting ready to build the amp box, and think i'll cover that the same, rather than carpet. Still trying to decide, i'll welcome any comments tho.
Vinnie, nice job. Just a quick note, I did some before and used the 3m good quality adhesive, but it lasted about one year and the heat inside the vehicle in the summer eventually cooked the adhesive. An upholstery shop later told me to only use the Super Adhesive, the very top of the line from 3m - and that the other (and cheaper $) 3m brands won't hold up under summer temps.

Looks good, man.
Might look even better without the clock.
BTW, I've found that the key to working with leather is to work it wet.
It will stretch more easily if it is wet, then, when it dries, it will shrink slightly....removing those last little wrinkles.

Ah Larry, the wife likes the clock, her little add to the car, a $50 clock got me a $2000 interior, so the clock stays.
as far as the leather goes,
I didn't know that about working it wet. Makes alot of sense tho, the shrinking part.
Looks good i tried leather work once and it turned out terrible. it looked like $hit on every corner. i just couldnt get it to fold over without wrinkling. good job.
