Wish I could get rates like those here! In NJ we are know for high insurance rates. State Farm wanted $2k a year to insure my Corvette and that is having my house and two other cars insured with them. And yes married and with a clean driving record.
Under $30 a month for full coverage, heck yes that's a good deal, especially if you drive it. I'm about $222 per year on my '88 thru State Farm as a collector car, but it doesn't see very many miles anymore.
State Farm 306.00 a year with 22,000 replacement value is a steal .I have had State Farms for 28 years 5 cars and a house insured with them and they were charged me 926.00 yearly. So I went with Grundy 326.00 yearly.IMHO you got a real good deal.
I just got off the phone with Grundy.Grundy only covers your car to and from car shows and joy rides. Not driving your car to work and back.dont know how the would know one way of the other, but if it got dinged in work parking lot they would not cover it.
Hagerty doesn't cover to or from work. The only reason I went with them is that they'll let a 18 year old insure with them(Insured as occasional with parents as primary )
Hagerty is $500 a year for me with $15k of full coverage with car insured as an Exotic.
Living on Long Island, I had the same problem as the person from Jersey had with high insurance rates. State Farm wanted $1100/year for the vette, even with 2 other cars, and my house on the policy (since switched to Allstate, big savings, but thats another story).
Since my 91 is not a daily driver, and I can deal with a mileage limit, I went with Leland West (www.lelandwest.com). Under $600/year.
Read the policy and make sure it doesn't say Actual Cash Value up to $22,000. If it does, then they can offer less if it's a total loss and the market doesn't support 22k.
