Default Sold the Ruby today

Sold my C-4 today. Very sad to see it go. I basically put every mod known to the forum except one, the blower. I have loved every minute of owning a hot cammed 3.73 gear Ruby. In case you are wondering, yes it will beat the stock six speed C-5 in the quarter mile and yes it is much cooler to hear it idle The car will be missed and I took plenty of pictures. On a lighter note, I recently bought a Cherry C-5 six speed with only 4.200 actual miles. This car is brand new and it is well, a better car by mechanical refinement and it's overall handling qualities are very, very nice. You might say the C-5 is more graceful than the C-4 but, I will really miss the sport seats and cockpit feel of the C-4. It has been great and it has been informative but, I have asked the Mods to change my name to reflect my new car. I wish you all well and good luck with the mods. Listen to the guys that have actually done the work and ignore the wanna bees. I am sure I will meet a few on the C-5 forum. I will check back from time to time to watch a few of the knowns go at it about the Cats and 1 3/4 vs 1/58 header wars etc. Peace to all of you, See ya

Sorry to see you move on, but glad to see you are moving on in style. Keep enjoying the ride. It sounds like a nice one and I admit I look once in awhile.

Congratulations! I am in the hunt for a newer one myself and am amazed at the unrealistic prices that some folks think their cars are worth. I mean, like they are in love with their babied low-mile Corvette and any person that shops around will not even bother to call on these folks as it is a waste of time talking with them.
Example: 91 Yellow over black coupe 6-speed with 8,500 miles for $21,900. You can buy a good LT4 for less than that and I have seen some ZR1s and Grand Sports for not much more. If you do a search on most for sale boards and just type in $18,000 to $25,000 for a C5 you will get so many hits it will scramble your brain.

Sea Level? Corvette Fever just did a story on the C6 in Europe.
They said the car was exceptional in the ice and snow.

In some remote way they may have made your case.
C5's are nice. Its the next step isn't it.

This is when I sold my '96 for a '99.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...m_id=54&arch=1

This is when I bought a '94 Vert last year.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...m_id=34&arch=1

Also, I posted somewhere about going back to a C4 from a C5. The C5 is nice, but the C4 has more character. But you can mod the heck out of the C5.

Best of luck.
