Default service ride control

hey quick question...i had a fuse blow out the other day for the dash board. when i replaced it the service ride control light came on and stayed on for about 100 miles then went off.....what is this light for and why does it come one because i was not aware my car even had ride control.

yea i dont have that switch...lol...so if i dont have ride control how is the light is coming on
