How can I mount a videocamera in my C4 without installing a rollcage? Does somebody make something that straps to the passenger seat?
The harness bars have a provision for mounting a camera. The harness bars are made to bolt in using the mount points of the stock seat belts so your car isn't permanently altered. Check out R-D Racing's harness bar.
I made a camcorder mount out of 1" square aluminum tube, u-bolted to the upper seat belt mounts of my convertible. Also fabbed up a bracket to attach a tripod mount that clears the tonneau lid.
Normally I use a remote bullet cam suction-cupped to the windshield to feed video to the camcorder.
Another easy mount is a simple home made metal bracket that attaches under the sunvisor clip. It is easy to make by bending sheet metal purchased at a home improvement store. Drill a hole for the visor screw and another to attach to the camera. The camera will sit high and not block your view and gets a good shot of the road and the hood of the car.

Not too techie a solution: I have a Kodak camera, about the size of a pack of cigs. I put a short piece of Velcro on dash and bottom of camera. Stuck it on dash top right in front of steering wheel. Works great, covers all the area I need and is convenient to turn on and off for movies whenever I want. Only drawback is I can't get a pic of speedometer. On 2nd thought maybe that's an advantage.
Well I made this before I made my own harness bar
Now someone else made this before I did(I copied it) but it works well and it is very esy to make... If you would like I could take deatiled pics if you would like, it cost me about $10 for everything to make it
