I need new upper door panels for my 1987 convertible. My panels(the black trim on the top of the door panel)is distorted and looks terrible. I saw a them on a coupe and noticed that they looked like they were made of a harder material. What is the difference between the coupe and convert(aside from material), and can i use coupe trim on my convertible???
After looking in the Ecklers catalog, they list a new improved design with unbreakable metal studs for less money. #35094 LH & #35095 RH for $99.99 ea. and yes the conv. is diffferent than coupe. $40 higher.
I bought my '87 top panels from Contemporary Corvettes for about $50 each a month or so ago for the GM part. Fast shipping etc. I'm sure their ph# is in the archives, I don't have it handy. Many others have recommended them too. ~Juliet
