Default Removing Sunvisor for head/viewing room (pics)

I was swapping out the front mounting brackets a couple of weeks ago and I decided to leave the sunvisors off. Now without the visors there, the interior doesnt seem as packed or congested. I like the look. I never use the mirrors anyways

Anyone else run without them?

Here are a couple of pics...

Looks good.. but I would've left them. You never know when you'll be needing them.

I think *I* used them once or twice in the last 4 years. Now passengers are a different story

I've never used the mirrors either, but I really couldn't live without visors. Thinking about it now, I almost always have them down for the shade. It does look nice and clean, though.

I removed mine too. A lot more visible room. Like you I rarely used them. But make sure you keep them , I think for some odd reason you need them for a safety check.

They are really quick and easy to replace/remove so I'm keeping them around just in case.

Definitely cleans up the look inside. I should take mine off, never used them in 2 years, they do obstruct my vision a bit.

Mine were gone when I bought my 88 coupe. My wife wants one for her side so I just ordered a set. I'm not sure I want one on my side obscurring my vision since I'm 6' and she's 5' 2". I just see under the front roof now, no problem when driving into the sun. I'll try it and see.

The day I picked up the car mine were gone, blocked half my view. I haven't missed them once in 5 years.

I didn't know they were still used for blocking the sun. I use mine when going into a traffic cam intersection a tad tardy to conceal the innocent.

Wow, that does look clean. I'll have to try it once our 8" of fresh damn snow melts away. Don't think I've used mine and would like to see how it looks.

Simple.
Remove your top. Take out the two small screws (see pic 1), and carefully remove the plastic cover. Once you do that you will be looking at something very similar to pic 2. If you look at where my finger is pointed, well that is where the visor holds into place with a srew and bolt. Simply undo and pull the puppy out. If you have the lighted vanity mirror undo the small electrical attachment that will be revealed once you start to pull the visor out.

PIC 2

Hope this helps

I actually use them a lot when I have the top off. Sometimes they provide just the right about of shade when I forget (or can't wear) a hat. Looks great without them though...had me thinking about it for a minute or two.
