'96 Squeaks!

'96 Squeaks!
I've quieted down most of the squeaks, one remains! The console (below the clear gear indicator plate) makes a racket! If I gently press on it and the surrounding console structure it stops! It appears the clear lens is glued to the console...any advice to silence it permanently?

I don't have this squeak, but I was able to silence all of my rattles and sqeaks with either foam insulation weather strip tape (Home Depot) or Velcro tape (just the loop half). I spent about 6 hours carefully tracking down all the noices 2 years ago and so far, none have come back.
