Default Maintenance question

Hey

I have a 1994 LT1 and besides doing mods, I have done little maintenance in 5 years. I have changed the oil regularly and the coolant has been flushed, but what else do you guys think I should be doing? The car has about 60,000 miles on it.

Check the brake fluid and clutch fluid(under your computer). Are they black? I'd flush that out with new fluid. Get a grease gun and lube the zerk fittings on the balljoints, and ujoints if they have em.

I agree with 'Coaster.
Then, consider changing, power steering, differential and gearbox fluids.
If your trans is an A4, a filter change is called for. Fuel filter also. Air filter. An alignment. Check the brake pads while you are flushing the brake fluid.
Clean the debris from the radiator and condensor. Put on new wiper blades. Lube the antenna, the door hinges and latches, the hood hinges, the gas door hinges.
Check the spare for proper inflation pressures and clean it and the holder, lube the threads on the latch-rod. Replace the serpentine belt.
Really, the list could go on and on....

Have fun!

It's worth doing every once in awhile. I'm always amazed at how much trash builds up between the two.

The 60k service should be in the owners manual.

Hey thanks guys. I don't have a service manual. My diff has been changed because I put in 3.75 gears. My trans was as well when I did the shift kit. My steering fluid was changed because the cooler went and had to be replaced. My brakes are only a year old and I do watch the tires. Thanks again. I was worrying about the fuel pump, water pump, ***** and joints.

Don't forget the fuel filter (#1 cause of fuel pump death).
