Well I'm getting my 84 ready to take out of hibernation
and I notice that the tint is starting to peel, I don't know how
old it is? since I'm the third owner! my question is, what is the
best & easiest way to remove the rest of the tint including the
rear glass without messing up the defrosting elements???
Thanks in advance.
Poncho.
YOu wont mess up the defrost elements. Just pull it off then spray windex with amonia and it will start to eat away the glue from the tint. You can use a razor blade on side ones and a hair dryer helps to get it off the back window.
On my old IROC vert I used to own, I used to spray warm soapy water on the side windows and wrap each of them in a garbage bag to heighten the humidity levels. It would help it to peel more and I could pull them off easier. Whatever glue was leftover.. I would use "sticker shocker" to spray on. It melts the glue and can be easily wiped off. You can find this at any parts stores.

I also found rubbing alcohol to work along with a razor blade.
