I use a 20cc syringe with a 14ga cath to pull the water out after washing. Only takes a second. I keep it in the center console.
I use a big syringe, too. The guy I bought the car from was a nurse, and that's what he used. I keep in the tray in the storage compartment. Works like a charm!

To get rid of the water I just use a soft cloth. That has the added benefit of cleaning out road scrung at the same time.
FYI, it a FEDERAL offence to possess a syringe in the US. Pretty wild eh?!
