I use a big syringe, too. The guy I bought the car from was a nurse, and that's what he used. I keep in the tray in the storage compartment. Works like a charm!

I juse stick the end of a paper towel in there and by the time I'm done up front, all of the water has been wicked into the paper towel. No muss, no fuss and do drilling!

and the leaf blower stays in the shed until she is ready to use it in the fall.

To get rid of the water I just use a soft cloth. That has the added benefit of cleaning out road scrung at the same time.
FYI, it a FEDERAL offence to possess a syringe in the US. Pretty wild eh?!
