I just joined the corvette forum. I've got a green 1992 LT1 coupe. I am thinking about ordering a thing called a rear hatch vent from a catalog. It opens the rear hatch window about 1 or 2 inches to let air flow out. Have any of you tried one of these rear hatch vents? Are they any good? Do they make the airflow better, especially when the roof is off? Thanks.
Mine works great with the tops on or off, windows up or down. Just remove it if its raining. Excellent idea. I wish the window on my 82 opened so I could use one on it too.
Another nifty add on are those wind wings for the door mirrors. They were standard on the verts but they really help on the coupes too. They come with 2x sided tape to stick on so you don't have to drill holes.

What is the benefit of the wind wings? Wind noise reduction, tubulence with the window 1/3 to 1/2 down, rain getting in when driving, or something else?
Get the one from the corvette gadgetman because the hatch vent that I bought from the catalogs busted as it is sh***y pot metal. Looks heavyduty but broke within a few weeks of getting it.
I have one issue with mine...It keeps my interior light on...I do not know what I am doing wrong...

If you are putting in the piece that contacts the hatch ajar sensor, you shouldnt be having this. I broke my sensor before, its very easy to do that if you slam the hatch at any time, not just when the vent is in.

wind noise and turbulence go together, especially with the top off
