Default Snow!!!!.... :(

So it snowed here in central Illinois last night. i had my vette out and wasn't able to get home till the morning. it was about a 20 min ride for about 4 miles. for all of those who ride their vette in the snow all the time i tip my hat to you. i never want to be in the snow again.

I tell you one thing though. The vette is by far more safe with the ASR then my 94 Trans Am would have ever been. maybe if i had some decient tires i would have done better. anyway it is in bed again resting.

I wonder why nobody ever buys an extra set of wheels and a set of Blizzaks for their Vette. A snow equipped Corvette seems like an oxymoron. It would work, but maybe the thought of what all that salt does to our babies makes it unthinkable.

I bought the Goodyear GS-D3s because of their rain running capability, but I still avoid rain whenever possible.

That's why I run Pirelli PZero Nero's on my Vette - so I can drive her all winter in New England. With the right tires, even the mighty Vette can drive in the snow.

I ended up driving 20+ miles in the storm that hit here Sunday. I don't know how Mojo drives his BMAD (or what ever that big mouth air dam thing is called) in the snow. I still can't see my radiator or condenser through the solid mass of ice in the front of my car. I was out before the snow plows were out in force and the snow dumped down quickly so the snow was pretty deep at times.

I did not have any problems getting home in the snow; however, my new F1 GS D3s suck compared to my old Potenzas. The Potenza's did not trip the ASR light as often as my Goodyears. I made it up a hill that many vehicles were sliding on. One clown in his urban assault vehicle decided to race up that hill and went spinning back down the hill asswards.

I don't think the D3's are rated to high for snow, but rain is a different story all together.

Ya'll are dealing with snow, well us folks down south here are dealing with pollen. Good lord I hate that stuff, besides my allergies it can turn a pristine vette into what looks like a disaster. And now it's gotten warmer, damn bugs are out. Trip over to the coast last night resulted in a car washing at 10PM then today it rains just enough to spread liquid forms of pollen which makes a total mess. So again this evening another bath she gets. Dang that is 3 baths since Saturday.

And we have the most stupid of trees, in the fall they loose some of their leaves and in spring the loose the rest followed with pollen and pollen tassles which looks like huge clumps of seaweed in the parking lots. What a mess.

Well it's suppose to really rain hard, please please, Thursday and that should wash most of it away.

Enjoy your snow, spring is coming and so are leaves and pollen.
