I have seen two of them as well in Phoenix. One of the ones I have seen, the guy painted flames on, talk about sad. It doesnt look bad but just wrong on that rare of car.

I saw two coupes and a vert new in Phoenix back in 1994 when they came out. The reason these are so rare is they could not get the colour to be consistant from panel to panel. I looked at a brand new coupe and NONE of the panels matched. Too bad because it was nice colour and looked good on the C4's body.
They had the same problem with Aztec gold on the C5 in 1998 and there are even less of those running around. The 50th anniversary car was not gold because of panel matching.

Here's a vert:
Here is a link to one for sale in Michigan. Hope you are sitting down when you see the price! http://corvettetrader.com/ads/1994co...chigan6019.htm
Code 66 Copper Metallic. In 1994 there were 92 coupes and 24 verts.
Not to threadjack Andy's topic (too much), but why is it so hard to get colors to match, panel to panel? I can understand urethane bumpers to body panels (they're painted completely separately, I think).
Hello guys, I just bought a copper last fall and the color is breath taking to say the least. The Febuary 2006 Vette Magazine thought so as well It got a nice pic and right up in the Funfest article .Not to brag but seeing it beside my Ruby ZR-1 makes me fell like a proud dad...
P.S. If anyone can help me post a pic of it - assistance would be apprecaited. Thanks!
Here's a very accurate picture of the Copper Metallic. By the way, I'm the one who posted about one of these that was for sale recently. It did sell and is on its way to Rogers Corvettes in Orlando.
