It has 130,000 miles. I would assume it could be easily ebayed for $5000 maybe even $6. Any opinions? 1984, Automatic, no major problems, ZR1 wheels.

Great deal no matter what! I never get those deals, need to be in the right place at the right time. My motto always seems to be "buy high, sell low", just lucky that way!

Default i'm damn lucky

hey guys it's mark with the new vette...
i've been a member of the forum for quite a while but without a vette i didn't have much to talk about... my name on the forum is in reference to my LT1 caprice, another passion of mine. to prove my luck this week: I also bought, about 8 moths ago, a 1968 MGB for 3000. i had my fun with it and stuck it on ebay. last night, the same day i bought my vette, it sold on ebay for a 5,100 and some change. So yeah, i'd say it's been a pretty good week. Thanks for all your input. I'll keep you posted.

You are one lucky dad!
One of my son has a Porsche 951, the other has a Mustang GT.

...but I can outrun both of them.

The 'new' Vette in the family: $1000 and it runs??!! That has to be the C4 Buy Of The Year.

"The 'new' Vette in the family: $1000 and it runs??!!"

It runs great... every once in a while when going about 3 mph the rpm's will drop and then kick back up. i was coming up a hill today and stomped on it a little bit and the rpm's did the same thing at about 3000rpm. (only happened once).
Dad suggested fuel filter. that very well could be the prob. other than that no major probs. the hatch needs new shocks(wont open unless pushed on from the inside) Window motors are just about gone. but they work! power steering pump definately needs replacing. radio didn't work but my LT1 caprice came with one i later took out to be replaced by my alpine that was in the 9C1 caprice that sadly was totalled. (NOT MY FAULT!) radio wiring harness has been hacked... only the back two speakers work. and i had a question about the speakers in my car. the previous owner put tweeters in it that are no longer hooked up, but do these cars come stock with six speaker because there are the two in back, the two on the door panels, and while checking out the condition of the dash pad under the new dash cover we found two more speakers on either side of the dash. the wheels are flawless and tires have probably 80 % tread left. paint has few bubbles an chips. spider crack in the windshield about 6 square inches in top left. And to top the whole car of it's got a Corvette club sticker right above my inspection sticker... if i think of anything else i'll post it..... any questions, ask away.
thanks alot
