jOE, do a search and talk to ImpalaBalko. He went so far as to put the stripe up over the top, too. Looks great.
As to your question, maybe two. Or more! Got get it straight the first time, depending on type of stripe (glue, wet decal, etc.). Good luck.

Here's my .02 probably only worth half of that but anyways here it is. I put the hood stripes on mine and black hash marks on both sides. These were really easy to put on. They're vinyl decals that come with alignment tabs already on them. You clean the surface and then spray it down with a mixture of tap water rubbing alcohol and dish soap. You
then spray the decal with the same mixture and put it on the car. As it starts to set up you rub all the air bubbles out of it. Since your putting it on wet aligning it up is really easy. I don't think the skunk stripe would be any harder. If you want I can email you pics of my stripes, I know they are not what you want on you car but they are applied the same way.
