The skunk stripe is the white stripe found, from the factory, only on the 96 Grand Sports. They were all Admiral Blue with the white "skunk" stripe running from bow to stern.

OK, thanks, I guess that I always thought that was paint.
Here's my .02 probably only worth half of that but anyways here it is. I put the hood stripes on mine and black hash marks on both sides. These were really easy to put on. They're vinyl decals that come with alignment tabs already on them. You clean the surface and then spray it down with a mixture of tap water rubbing alcohol and dish soap. You
then spray the decal with the same mixture and put it on the car. As it starts to set up you rub all the air bubbles out of it. Since your putting it on wet aligning it up is really easy. I don't think the skunk stripe would be any harder. If you want I can email you pics of my stripes, I know they are not what you want on you car but they are applied the same way.
so thats all it takes to put a vinyl on your car? Just some water, dish soap, and alcohol? It must have some kind of adhesive already on it to make it stay permanently.

Yeah it does. It's a vinyl decal that comes sandwiched between wax paper type stuff. You peel off the back which has the adhesive on it spray it down along with the car with the goofy mixture and slide it around until your happy with it. As it sets up you can smooth out air bubbles by running a rag over the top protective wax paper. Once it's done drying you peel off the top and that's it. I had mine made by a guy on ebay who can make anything you want and he's a Corvette guy
his hash marks are light years better than the ones sold at Mid America.
