This morning, i was going out, put my top down, and the plastic rear window cracked.
The question is..
Is the back window replacable? If so, is it something that I can do from home, or will it require a shop? anyone changed out the plastic? Is there a walk-through somewhere?
I happen to have an extra top ( Including frame, weatherstripping, headliner, etc) that I removed when I got my new top assembly. I can play with that as a test, if need be.
I'd check with a auto upholstery shop and see what they can do. If you have to replace the window, it may be worth looking into the glass replacement ones. Check out MidAmerica about that.

I sent you an e-mail of the article I have on the C4 glass window install. I had a C3 at one time that had a good top but the window also split one day. I took the top off, had an upholstrey shop sew in a new plastic window for about $60 (that was about 6 years ago though).
You could pull the top and take it to a boating shop. They use the same garbage vinyl for windows in boat tops. Some will be able to sew them in for you.
As long as you have to pull the top just upgrade to a glass window top, tons better.
I hear the glass rear window tops are really easy to crack. Is this true or was the shop telling me this full it? They told me not to go with the galss upgrade.

Have you read many threads on here where 94-96 owners bitch about busting their tops?
