I did some searching but didn't find what I was looking for. Will probably have to remove the gill panel today and replace the battery (assuming the charge doesn't work).
Can someone post a link to a good article on the procedure for removing the panel and replacing the battery - any with pics? I know they've been posted before but couldn't find them.
Any advice on "tricky" parts would be appreciated, i.e. where I'd screw up the paint/panel, etc.
Another one to look at. When you put the gill panel back on, be sure the door is not hitting the panel. Open the door carefully to be sure is does not scrape. The panel will adjust somewhat. Look here . http://www.dvcorvettes.com/how_to_co...%20Battery.htm

Only other thing to add here is if you're replacing the battery with a model that also includes top posts (such as Optima), you're going to have to either remove the top + post or notch out the cruise control bracket...

Exactly. Take a little more time so as to not crack anything. Taking out the panel makes changing batteries so much easier!
