I am giving serious thought to converting my 95 shocks. Meaning I would have all 4 fx3 shocks and actuators to sell. system seems to all work, but no guarantees.
Looking for idea what I could sell it all for, any ideas out there?
If the price is right, I would be a player. From what I have seen on ebay, fx3 parts seem to bring reasonable $, even in stock condition requiring rebuilding. I suspect there are enough of us out there who like to keep the system in working order, to the point of having spare parts ready to install when needed, or I should say that is what I have in mind. In general what I am seeing are that shocks, new, run over $200, and a rebuild can be in the 100-150 range for your shock, actuators are 350-400 new, and if rebuildable would run you about 125 to have yours reworked. It seems there are a lot of parts being traded/sold in this forum, so that is where I would start looking and/or selling.

What are you converting to? Just curious as I have an 88 without the fx3 and was wondering if you were unhappy with the fx3 going back to a non fx3 shock.

I did a search on the web and found a couple of places selling the Shocks for around $170 and the actuators for $279.
But rebuild prices arae right there where "thebeerman" states. I just had one of my Actuators rebuilt by Aaron at CaptainZ CNC for $125 and sent in last week, one of my shocks to Bilstein for rebuild and that is going to be $145.
So what I would say is this. Shocks worth about $20 max,(unless they have been rebuilt recently or are new) any more than that if they have to be rebuilt you can buy new ones and come out ahead. As far as the Actuators are concerned, working they might be worth $125-175. Not working depending on the problem, $0 to $100.
Just my opinion. But if I have to pay any more than those prices I'd be looking to buy new.

I am not unhappy withthe FX3. Mine is a daily driver and I have no need for the suspension control and would be just as happy with good set of std Bilstein or KYBs. My logic is that the FX3 is very expensive should something break, and an expense for something I really do not need. So change out now, sell of the parts to pay for std shocks and have something left over for other 'toys'.
I should add I am not a 'purist' in trying to maintain the vette for future max resale. I have no intention of selling it, ever. But do plan to running it up to somewhere around 300,000 miles before I can't drive anymore, or whatever. Hope that makes sense to others.
O.K. you are in the same boat as I am. Mine is a '93 Ruby Red and like you, I don't "seem" to need the bells and whistles of the FXsystem. Reading the comments, can I take it that one can remove the existing system, and install a good set of regular shocks? I see the expense too of fixing the suspension system and while my car is pretty pure, dollars and cents figure into the equation. Let me know if installing good ole' regular gas charged shocks will work. If so, I may end up selling mine too.
Bottom line, opinions aside, the answer is yes to " Let me know if installing good ole' regular gas charged shocks will work." Take the old shocks off, disconnect the actuators at the first connection, and pull the bulb out of the info center and you will never know the system was even there.

Just leave the system in. Even if it breaks, it becomes the same as a standard shock setup, just with the little light on. You can always pull the bulb.
If you must sell, I have found the average used price for an actuator is $75, the shock about the same, or 2 for $110.
