My interior is stock on my 84 vette except for a speaker box in the back hatch and other speakers and new deck and amp. What can I do to make it better?
There's really no one answer. The key question should be what looks good to you. Not everyone here likes the same interior color combos, seat styles, steering wheels, dash kits, shift boots, upholstery, ect. No one interior look is everyone's choice.
I think the interior mods I did were some of the best I did on the car. Sure I like more power but it's so much nicer in the cabin now. I removed the sun visors, replaced the bread box with the flat panel, have covers on the information center and over the seat control pit, and a new radio. I used shoe polish on the steering wheel, tighted up all interior screws (some were missing!). I've been thinking about a new shift boot next, the stock one is a bit old looking! I should take a picture! I'll take the camera out there today, and shoot some interior shots.
shoe polish on the steering wheel???????? Liquid or paste????? I haven't heard this one before, but why not if it's leather right??? Does it come off on your hands???????? You know what I mean......

Yep. Someone told me about it and I tried it. Liquid black with a sponge top. It worked, looks almost new. Let it dry really good and wipe it down to a shine.

Did mine a couple of years ago. Kiwi liquid. Mine was pretty dried out.
I re-applied it once since and will probably do it again this summer.
It didn't make it look like brand new, but it was a big improvement.
