Default head unit adapter

I have a 94 vette with the orginial cd/cassette player that has stopped ejecting cd's and cassettes. I want to replace just the head unit (the speakers are in good condition) but I understand there is an adapter required to make another head unit work with the original system. Does anyone know where I can find this adapter?

Thanks!

I got an adapter at www.cardomain.com/shop. I bought the head unit and a bose adapter. The adapter cost about 50.00. I did have the adapter go bad after 6 months and they replaced it for me. No more problems.

As the Bose speaker/amp things sound like crap, most of us have opted to replace the whole mess once the head goes bad.

I agree. I spent a lot of money on a nice Alpine head with the adaptor to continue using the Bose speakers. Spend the extra dollars and replace the whole unit. Most stereo shops should carry the adaptor, but the sound quality just isn't there.
