Default Which gas ???

I am sure this was asked before so i apoligize in advance. I have an 89 vert stock do I or should I run high octane gas. Thank you for all the help.

I run 92 octane (Exxon preferably) in my 96 Vette. Anything lower will make the valves "knock".

92 or better in my '92 here. I have one of those Hypertech chips that a lot of people say is a waste of money, the manufacturer's info said thats all you can run with their chip.

I run 87 unless Im going to the track.

My manual for my '88 says min 91.

im my 96 it says either on the dash or under the fuel dor "premium unleaded fuel only" It also says it in the manual

87 in my 87 for the past 7 years. Run the lowest octane you can without pinging.

I think L98's only need 87 and nothing higher, but it might depend on whether or not it has aluminum or iron heads. LT1's probably need a higher grade due to the higher compression ratio.
