The switch may have gone bad. That is not an uncommon problem.
I'm not sure of the best way to test the switch or replace it, though. Maybe someone else can help you out.
But if the motor doesn't run and nothing happens at all, the switch may have failed.
Press your window switch with the key in the on position and look at the voltmeter on the dash. Is the voltage going down when you apply the switch ? If the voltage is changing it's probably the motor. I picked up an oem motor on ebay for $45. and talked with a local auto glass shop owner to see what he would charge. ( $100 was what he quoted me). The motors are left and right so make sure you get the correct one. Good luck on your search.
