Thought I would run this again just to check on gasoline prices around the country. Ran this a couple of weeks ago and had some very interesting feedback on gas costs. Let me, and other forum members, know what you are paying for gas and where you are.
I'm paying $3.15 for premium BP gas in Fairmont, West, by gosh, Virginia. 4/21/2006
Maybe we all should pull together and just not buy any gas for one day just to send a little message. What do you all think?
yeah not buying gas for one day is a dumb idea. Everyone thought of that a while back and it didnt work. People have lives and cant do stuff like that. Gas prices are rediculously high but as long as people are driving SUVs and buying ethanol gas, theres nothing we can do. Protest to the government if you want.

Send your complaints to Lee Raymond former CEO of Exxon.
He was payed $52,000,000 last year. Thats $1,000,000 a week.
Then his retirement package was a lump sum of $98,000,000.
$150,000,000 a year aint bad.
He says he desevered every penny of it. In 14 years service to Exxon he was payed $686,000,000.
The folks at Exxon sure have the lotto beat.
Its only money, and its your money.

Sure there is something you can do. Just cut back a little. If "everyone" cuts back it increases supply. Supply dictates price. Forget about boycots. Just conserve.

I wish I could put ladder racks on my vette to go to work. It gets about 24mpg ,my Dodge Ram hemi gets 9-10 mpg downhill. Reg is about 2.85, prem is 3.07
All it takes is a 3% reduction in driving...nationwide. Within a month, crude would be back down to $20 a barrel. You gotta drive..at least I do. My work commute is too far for walking, or bicycle. Just cut out your unnecessary driving.
From: levittown pa. usa Even a bad day with my `Vette, is better than a good day at work

could reach $4.00 a gal. within four months, according to the talking heads on Fox news. One of their "All Star" panel members said today, " its simple supply & demand. If you can`t pay, you shoulden`t drive, its that simple. I bet he gets his gas for free.

Local talk show today a guy commented that when gas was $.35/gal he was making union wages of $1.00/hr as a carpenter and his 51 Ford got only 10mpg. Union carpenters now get $17/hr so the wages have increased 17 fold whereas gas prices have only increased 10 fold. He also stated that his Cadillac gets 20mpg and is a much safer and convenient mode of transportation. Could be worse.
