Default Wheel applications

Can someone out there tell me if there is an application chart which indicates what is required to apply later model GM wheels to earlier model Corvettes? If there is such a chart can you also tell me where to obtain one? I would like to be able to put 17" GM original equipement wheels from a 1998 vette on a 1987 vette. All help is appreciated.

All you need is an adapter plate to make them sit properly flush with the fender.

The offset is different.

If you like the look of C5 wheels, you might want to consider ZR-1 wheels. They fit '84-'87 without an adapter. Similar 5-spoke look.

they will fit...so will the 18" rears. Check the Z06 wheels on my 96 below. No spacer for a 96 needed...but on yours I think you will need it.

Only ZR1 rear 11" rims fit an 84-87 with no adapter, the fronts still require it.

And AFS is the only ZR1-style manufacturer I know of that makes the style for us that fits with no adapters.

I just got the latest Mid-America catalog and they didnt mention any spacers needed on the ZR-1's. Either they've changed something or forgot to mention that little detail (typos).
