I know that some of you in various States must run a front plate like we do here in Ontario. I don't like it either but I have been stopped once and I know that it would be a common thing if I do not put the plate on. So I got out the screwdriver and pulled the plate cover off my 92 only to find that there is no mounting bracket for a licence plate Would the plate bracket be installed at the dealer if required? I find it odd that there is not a licence plate bracket under the plate cover, guess I will have to get one and looks like there will be some drilling involved. Anyone else had this problem when buying an out of state car? How did you mount your plate?
I don't run with a plate either but I'm supposed too and I haven't been stopped yet knock on wood. When I bought my Vette the cover was off and I put it back in. I didn't really look but isn't there two screw holes for the plate in there? I thought you just took the cover off and put the plate in.

I just took a close look at the front and there are 4 square spots where you would screw a plate to but you would have to screw right through the plastic, don't much care for that idea. I guess I will have to talk to some of the guys here in Canada to see how their plate is mounted.
