I see some people refer to their vettes as a roadster. What is the difference between a roadster and a coupe??
I have a coupe, orrrr do I have a roadster??
A coupe is another name for "hardtop". If you have the removable targa top, you drive a coupe. A "roadster" is typically a convertible, but true roadsters have a removable hardtop that is sometimes used instead of the rag (convertible) top. The removable hardtops gave convertibles the look of a coupe, but you still had the convenience of going topless.
I still see people reffering to their coupes as a roadster. Or like you say they have the removable hard top.
Now you know to correct them, because a coupe is definitely not a roadster. They may remove their targa and think they have a roadster, but they are only fooling themselves. :bs
