Default Targa Top

I want to take my see through targa top from my '85 completely apart and rebuild it as some of the front trim has come loose and the weatherstrip retainers have rusted so going to replace that. I want to just go ahead and completely dismantle entire top to check all parts for need of replacement or repair. Can someone guide me to where I can find instructions on complete dismantle and re-assemble or does someone have the instructions written that they can forward to me. Looking especially for what can be or is supposed to be put together with adhesive or caulk or some other products that may be required to make like new or better than new. Thanks in Advance for any info.

There isn't much too it.. just a top stuck on a frame...and if its a solid top, then you got some headliner material in there too...

Are you talking about also removing the top from the frame? Unless the seals are not holding anymore (ie: like super crappy astrotops) then I would stay FAAAARRRRR away from that project. Once those tops come off the frame, they NEVER hold up the same again.

To GIJoe,

Yes I think the top has come loose at the rear but is not causing problems at this time. Thanks for info.
