Replacement tires
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
I just got a pair of the Goodyears this past Monday. They are a very good wet weather tire, an awesome dry weather tire and they have a very respectable tread wear rating. They are also about $50 to $70 dollars cheaper than the Michelin which is also a very good tire if price isn't an issue.

All I can add to that is they look great also I get a ton of compliments on mine. Great tire.
They are great in the wet and dry when the temperature is reasonable however, they suck when its icy or when its really cold. (IE sub zero dry weather)

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

There are so many characteristics a tire can be judged on; dry grip, wet grip, wear, ride, cost, noise, resistance to tramlining, breakaway characteristics, etc.
What are the most important to you??
Let's take the CandD test: a tire with one of the highest scores in dry grip was the BFG KD. It finished well down in the final outcome because its main strength was more than offset by low scores in the other categories. If you want a strong weekend warrior tire, the BFG would be a good choice (and it will be my next tire).
In contrast, the Continental finished in the #2 spot (IIRC), because of its good wear, excellent wet tests, and a low price. Does this mean it is a good tire for the average Corvette driver? Probably not, since most of us don't place a high priority on those three characteristics....and I doubt any of us are considering the Conti as a replacement tire.
In order to give you a useful answer, Ken, we'd have to know what it is you want from your tires.

I chose the same tires to go with my AR TT II's. The Tirerack has great guidance in terms of reviews, tests, and so on. For me it came down to the Firestones and the BFG's. I haven't driven the BFG's hard yet, but initial impresions are good.
