Do not remove when hot
They need another one of those labels on the coolant temperature sensors. Changing the coolant temperature sensor for dummies step 1: Let car cool. OWWW!

lol ya. I felt stupid just about the time the hot coolant sprayed my wrist. The funny thing is I had just made a comment to my motorhead buddy I was with about how I turned the sensor with the plug still on it just a bit so I didn't burn myself on the intake manifold . Yes, there was another guy and he didn't think of it either for some reason. Sure was funny though

Yeah, I had the same problem with a cleaner, said it was "inflamable", but it burned like crazy!!!
