I hear you brother. That thing was a pain in the a$$ until I put on headers.

There is a sensor on the passenger side between plugs 6 and 8 that controls the analog gauge on the dash. Cut my hand up pretty good changing that thing out 
I found the easiest way to get to it is to sit on the tire facing away from the car and reaching back with your right hand, swearing profusely
