I just received new seats from Mid-America. To my surprise they came minus instructions. How hard is it to install the upholstery covered foam pieces? Does anyone have instructions maybe with photos?
Thanks for the help.
Unless someone else has better info. I have a 95 so I do not know if it is the same.
Assuming your keeping your old tracks.
Take the seats out.
Turn upside down.
You will see 2 straps
Take straps off. ( You will see how )
The cushion will remove.
Flip over
You will see 4 bolts holding the seat frame to the seat tracks. Remove Bolts.
Reverse process.
I will be putting my new seat in Sat or Sunday in Garden Grove, OC.
Make sure that they are room temp before trying to install. Its a good idea to get new spring/seat kit, think corvette central or MAD has them, since your already in there.

Years ago the seat covers were one of my first projects on my 91. I took the seats and leather covers to a local upholsterer to do. For $75 I didn't have to worry about it. I just did the seats in my 72 a month ago. Did them myself. It was a chore but I had the time and they came out OK. C3 seats are different animals than C4 seats........
I order covers from Al Knoch this year for my 90 sport seats. I tired to put the leather on the foam myself but found it next to impssible (probably because I dont have the tools to do it). I took the seats in to get done. Turned out great.
We'll be out of town this weekend. Riding the motorcycle to Yuma, AZ for mother's day. The following weekend will be the seat change day. I'll be taking many photos and will try and do a write-up for those of you as crazy as I.
I pulled my seats last weekend to clean and move the passenger's side to the driver's side. It took a few minutes to figure out how the back was held in, but once I figured it out, it was no problem to remove and replace. It is easier to do with the seats in the car than with them removed. The bottoms, push down on the front part of the cushion and release the clip under the front of the seat. Pull the seat out. For the backs, just push towards the center of the car near the bottom of the headrest and again at the bottom. The rods should push out of the clip. Then just pull the cushion towards you and it'll come out. To replace, just reverse.
