Took the 85 to get it's biennial smog check today since it is due for registration. I have been wondering if this 383 would pass or not since the cam is in question.
I don't think this car has ever passed this cleanly before

Probably because this car has only about 7.5 - 8:1 comp. ratio. Cam has 270/290 duration with 0.482/0.492 lift. Now tomorrow the car is coming apart to replace the heads and install a Lingenfelter 74211 roller cam. I am probably going with the Edelbrock Performer 64cc heads. Would like to get the CR up to around 10:1. Car dyno's @ 245 rwhp and 317 rwtq. Thinking there is still some ponies left in that motor someplace
