Default Rattle Reducing Manouvers

Hi guys,
I have a '93 conv which I would like to generally
tighten up to reduce noise. I know this is kind
of generic with this car but what tips or
procedures have you used to reduce interior
noise.

I am looking for simple screws to silicone and re-
tighten but haven't found many.

If it don't rattle or leak water, it's not a C4

Elmer's rubber cement works great on screw threads.

Mine doesn't leak or rattle. At least it doesn't rattle anymore.. I put some felt under the rear speaker today and the last rattle is gone. I had to take the cover off and the speaker out. Someone had replaced it with an aftermarket unit, which didn't exactly fit, so they only used 2 screws.

If I couldn't drive it in rain I couldn't drive it at all. But that's why I didn't get a convertible.

first just go around the entire interior witha screw driver and look for loose screws.After that you have to hunt them down 1 at a time and see what they need.

If you have, or invest in, the factory service manuals (FSM) you will find an entire section devoted to fixing the noises and rattles in your vette.

check out r-dracings website. he makes several products to help tighten the car up. With a camber brace, cross brace and the rd x-brace under the car, it will tighten the car to what feels like 10x tighter than stock.

In the later years the factory started an aggressive campaign to eliminate squeaks and rattles. If you could get ahold of magazine articles and such that told the specific fixes year to year, you'd be aheadda the game. Read somewhere like 54 distinct s &r they addressed between the 93 and 94 model years.
