Default water leak

I have a water leak that pools water into the driver's foot well. I believe it is the drain tube at the bottom of the windshield. My question is, do the screens at the base of the windshield have to be removed to get to the vent tubes? If I have to remove them, what sealer did chevrolet use to help seal around the edges?

Alright, stupid question time: Why would GM (or any other manyfacturer) have drain tubes lead into the interior?

it doesn't. i just pulled it in for picture purposes. When those tubes get clogged the water in the cowl over flows and finds its way inside. Midamerican sells a pad i highly recommend that you put over the cowl opening so you don't have to worry about any of them clogging.
