Default Clutch Questions

So how does one know when their clutch is going other then the completely Obvious??? I am not sure if it is slipping, but when I push here through the gears my 85 feesl like she is maxing out much quiker then she should.??

With the engine running, put the car in 3rd gear.

Idle up to about 2000 RPM.

Hold the brake, and EASE the clutch up. IF the revs drop, the clutch is ok. Otherwise, it's toast, or near toast.
